Dmitry Sches and Plugivery are today proud to announce the launch and availability of Thorn, an exquisite yet straightforward synthesizer with additional advanced sonic control in mind for the most meticulous producers. Other DS Audio Software products (Tantra and Diversion) as well as the upcoming new and exciting creations will also be available through the Plugivery distribution network very soon.

Thorn was designed to be easy to use and deliver awesome sound, by providing advanced controls for those that love to tweak. It provides straightforward and elegant tools for complete sonic control all the time. It features an intuitive workflow, high quality processing modules, and is light on the CPU usage. Thorn is ready to be the heart of your mix, in any genre of modern and electronic music productions

Features:
Thorn offers 3 oscillators which utilise the spectral synthesis method. This gives you control over all the harmonics involved into the generation process of your sound. Each oscillator provides sets of spectral and real-time effects to shape harmonics further. Of course FM, RM, PWM, Hard Sync are implemented too.
The sound sources are organised as spectrum tables of 16 frames with the ability to edit and morph harmonics. Spectral synthesis techniques give the ability to “post-process” all the generated harmonics with a special filter to ‘colorise’ the output.
Two multi-mode, analog modelled filters with sensitive saturation stages available to charge your sounds and make it shine through the mix. There are 9 high quality effects, 3x ADSR envelopes, 3x LFOs, 2x multistage envelopes at your service in Thorn. 16-step flexible arpeggiator with MIDI output to generate rhythmic sequences available as well.
Thorn provides as well a grid-based Glitch sequencer for maximum fun. Chop up your sounds with the sequencer to get modern glitchy, stuttering effects.
System Requirements:
Thorn doesn’t require a powerful processor to run, though it is recommended to use modern processors with at least two cores. Please make sure you have the following minimum specifications.

VST 2.4 or VST 3 or AU or AAX compatible host software
Demo limitations: A noise sample is played every 90 seconds.
